Healing Crisis

Thinking about my healing crisis
Stillness

When an official “healing crisis” strikes, you know it is time to slow down. I’m coming out of one as we approach a seasonal change, so I’m qualified to speak.

It all started when I took a weekend flight from New Jersey to Los Angeles, to support a friend’s art gallery opening. Great weekend meeting new people and seeing inspirational artworks, especially by the core group of artists hailing from Nigeria.

Back home, I started a weight optimal cleansing program, Slique (it contains essential oils of course). It calls for lots of fluids (Slique Tea has frankincense), special supplements, 15 packets for a 15-day smoothie meal replacement, an appetite-suppressing gum, and 12 Slique bars made of nuts and fruit. I’m almost through all of it. To learn more about Slique go here.

What I thought would be a few days of clearing has turned into over TEN days of coughing up phlegm, sneezing, and blowing my nose. Yes, I have made an appointment to see my M.D. The timing happens to coincide with my annual checkup.

The Healing Crisis is Real, But Also Promising

I came across this statement in my paperwork: “All natural health treatments, whether they involve dietary changes, vitamins or herbal supplementation, detoxification therapies, or bodywork, focus on removing the dis-ease causing agents using the body’s own power of healing.

“This process often brings on an un pleasant reaction known as the “healing crisis.” Unlike a dis-ease crisis (illness) the healing crisis is a sign of improving health.”

“Reactions could include skin eruptions, nausea, headache, sleepiness, unusual fatigue, diarrhea, head or chest cold, ear infections, boils, or any other way the body uses to loosen and eliminate toxins. The crisis usually lasts three days — but if the energy of the patient is low, it may last a week or more.” (author unknown)

Well, I’m not known for LOW ENERGY, so I know this has to be something else. Friends and family are suggesting the destabilizing and long airplane ride from East to West Coast may be at fault. Or it could be my inability to make an important decision (“congestion = confusion”). Or the weather, duh.

The Fifth Dimension Is To Blame!

I’ve heard from many people who have gone through or are going through the same thing, that is, drastic “reaction” of their physical body. The consensus is this cleansing is necessary, due to living in these highly toxic times.

Purgative transformation of our internal environment is effective and efficient, because it prepares us as well as cleans us out.

Many believe the human being’s body purging is due to us ascending from the third dimension to the fifth.* This aligns with the Mayan and ancient “long count” calendar of 26,000 years. We were in a Pisces period, and now we’re in the Age of Aquarius, as you may have heard.

Ignore if this sounds foreign — trust me, you’ll be hearing more and more about it now that I’ve mentioned it.

Bottom line is, our bodies need time to rest, and will sometimes force us to rest. So I’m taking the hint.

*The fourth dimension is the space of awakening and choosing “truth,” while the fifth signifies an embrace of Oneness; of humanity and all beings with the universe. What do you think? Please share in the comments. I’ll be glad to hear from you.
