HealMobiles and Healing Sites
are Definitely for Sore Eyes
Mobile care units are indeed healmobiles, sited wherever life has them appear and do their thing (the Washington Hospital on Wheels healmobile serves the underinsured Fremont, Calif. community. When we are hopeful, we can always witness recovery going on around us, and acknowledge the mobile unit and healing-carrier that is our own bodies, not to mention our spirit=mind=souls, the environment and the planet.
This tree, for example, is nature's gift, and its beauty has been enhanced by the creative hand of an unknown artist. One day I'll go to South Africa
and meditate under this astounding canopy of creation. See more here.
And what about our first notions of the healing mobile. It could have been a hanging one, the soft music of which soothed the inner ear and calmed us as children. And it could have been an actual place like the South African tree or a medical or
health assessment vehicle parked in front of a church, storefront or school. Beyond monitoring our health status, we experience healing and are moved by the monuments we have built to recognize greatness and posterity. Sometimes these are awesome visual feats, like the pyramids or Macchu Picchu. Other times they are much more subtle, like whatever it is that has every culture's musical possess a classical repertoire the whole world can love.
Beauty is certainly healing to the eyes, and now that we are one world with more appreciation of the panoply of standards of beauty, healmobiles will be an increasingly important asset to behold. I envision more of them appearing in our communities and the world. The evidence is already showing up
and it is fulfilling and enjoyable to recognize harbingers of goodness and wholeness, ever evolving, when they appear. Communicate with us to record your healmobile sitings, whether they are images of spectacular art or records of life in recovery.
