TOBAGO HEALING: Building strength and structure toward Sandy Villas
I recently returned from Tobago and yet, I am still there. I am still among the hummingbirds, bougainvilla, mango trees, crickets, beach, sunshine and the pleasant disposition of unhurried people, all my relatives.
We were in Tobago 100 percent of the time and just before the journey, I was surprised to learn of the crime wave afflicting its big sister island Trinidad. No way, I thought, and am glad to report that the wave did not take hold on Tobago. Our purpose was to do our next leg of building an ecotourist retreat there and we visited with our architect and landscape architect to take the project to the next level. Nothing detracted from this, thank God. I am now visiting my interior space to clear the area for the energy and visioning I will use to build our Tobago retreat.
What is most obvious is a need to build up my personal stamina and mental acumen for the challenge I see ahead. This is not the challenge of building Sandy Villas so much as it is turning myself 180 degrees toward attracting the wherewithal, meaning money, angels, and leverage, to realize our vision. This means releasing any hesitation, doubt and worry over How.
SANDY LAND CALLING
The land called us and we visited it twice, once with just the architects and driver-diviner-who-knows-everyone-we-do-not and the second time with the engineer, her husband former Tobago Director of Infrastructure before a recent promotion and their 11-year old son, quantity surveyor and his wife a construction project manager and their 6-year-old daughter, and cousin-farmer who knows something of the boundaries. We were guided to the exact spot by a newly found cousin surnamed Sandy who has built on his plot within the past 2.5 years. This was definitely a village coming to the mountain. And we stood on the hilly ridge of the land in awe of the views and possibilities.
There is something I am hearing quite loud in my head and heart, right-brain and left brain, you could say, which tells me a colossal edifice confronts the project. This big edifice is the naysaying trend of thought that attends every visionary project that creeps closer to realization. It is fear itself, and not only the f.alse e.vidence a.ppearing r.eal. It is the accumulation of all the emotions that are not love squarely facing off the family members who are choosing to push ahead and get this Tobago project done.
LOVE IS THE ANSWER
Since love is the antidote and opposite of fear, my love has to be so inspiring and "so exciting it would take a 100 lifetimes to wear it down, tear it down." (Thanks always to Smokey Robinson and The Miracles.) This is where I want to be; what I want to do. Build up my love-miracle muscle to yeoman strength and magnify Sandy Villas so mere mention of it shouts Lights, Camera, Action and engages any listener to want In. (This is how my cousin-developer is in her delivery.)
So how is it going with that? I am sharing the visuals and sharing the ever-evolving screenplay with our benefactors and prospects. I have more love to convey, because I see fear is still appearing a bit real to some of them.
For me the question is, Where am I fearful of the project; of its success? How am I feeling about it deep down? Of what is the formidable edifice that stops me made, and where is it located in my body? Why do I need this in my life now, to confront me outwardly as a reflection? What is the lesson?
Well, I choose to see the work of finding the answers as a pleasure! It is another part of my healing retreat and journey and I intend to enjoy every second of it. Your comments are appreciated.

Safety Notice Oils rarely conflict with medications and you must follow your doctor"s advice. Test one or two drops of oil in an inconspicuous area before use. Asthmatics or others sensitive to scent should use just one drop and only on the soles of the feet. Start with less oil, not more, to gauge impact. You may increase drop by drop and take note of changes.
Redness, outbreaks or itching means too much oil. Wait a day for the body to adjust to the powerful natural energy of oils before resuming use. Dilute with sesame, olive or coconut oils or shea butter. Never water!
